Hours:

6:30am-2:30pm Monday-Friday QPS Employment Group is looking for an experienced CNC Set Up Machinist to join a growing job shop in the Ixonia area. This is a hands-on role for a skilled machinist who takes pride in precision work, understands G and M code, and can make on-the-fly edits to ensure quality and accuracy. CNC Set Up Machinist/Programmer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Set up and operate CNC machines according to production requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Make program edits using G and M code to improve part quality or process efficiency
• Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Troubleshoot setup and machining issues, maintaining optimal machine performance
• Work collaboratively with team members in a job shop environment to meet production goals

CNC Set Up Machinist/Programmer Requirements:

• 3+ years of CNC machining and setup experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of G and M code; ability to make edits independently
• Programming experience is a plus but not required
• Proficient in blueprint reading and use of precision measuring instruments
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
