6:30am-2:30pm Monday-Friday QPS Employment Group is looking for an experienced CNC Set Up Machinist to join a growing job shop in the Ixonia area. This is a hands-on role for a skilled machinist who takes pride in precision work, understands G and M code, and can make on-the-fly edits to ensure quality and accuracy. CNC Set Up Machinist/Programmer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Set up and operate CNC machines according to production requirements
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
Make program edits using G and M code to improve part quality or process efficiency
Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Troubleshoot setup and machining issues, maintaining optimal machine performance
Work collaboratively with team members in a job shop environment to meet production goals

CNC Set Up Machinist/Programmer Requirements:

3+ years of CNC machining and setup experience preferred
Strong knowledge of G and M code; ability to make edits independently
Programming experience is a plus but not required
Proficient in blueprint reading and use of precision measuring instruments
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
