Powder Coating Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Powder Coating Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for applying durable, high-quality finishes to fabricated metal components, ensuring products meet customer specifications, quality standards, and production deadlines. Responsibilities Prepare metal parts for coating through cleaning, masking, hanging, and staging. Apply powder coatings using manual and automated spray equipment. Monitor coating thickness, coverage, color consistency, and overall finish quality. Conduct visual inspections and perform touch-ups or rework as needed. Operate within production schedules to meet daily output goals. Maintain powder coating equipment and ensure proper material usage. Follow safety, quality, and housekeeping standards throughout the facility. Assist with material handling and movement of products through the finishing process. Essential Skills Experience in powder coating, industrial painting, metal finishing, or related manufacturing. Ability to operate spray equipment and work with coating applications. Competence in reading and interpreting work orders, production instructions, and quality specifications. Strong attention to detail and focus on producing high-quality finished products. Experience in fast-paced manufacturing or production environments. Understanding of workplace safety practices and proper use of PPE. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1+ years of experience in powder coating or related fields preferred. Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move materials throughout the shift.
