Job Description

Job Summary The Paint Technician is responsible for preparing, refinishing, and painting construction equipment, machinery, parts, and components to ensure a professional, durable, and high-quality finish. This position performs surface preparation, paint mixing, coating application, inspection, and touch-up work while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Duties Prepare equipment, machinery, parts, and surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, masking, and performing other necessary preparation. Mix and match paints and coatings to achieve the appropriate color, consistency, and finish. Apply paint, primer, enamel, and other coatings using spray equipment, brushes, rollers, or other appropriate application methods. Operate painting and sanding equipment safely and properly. Inspect completed work for defects, coverage, color consistency, and overall finish quality. Perform touch-ups and corrections as necessary. Mask or protect components and areas that should not be painted. Clean and maintain spray guns, painting equipment, tools, and the work area. Maintain an organized inventory of paint, supplies, and related materials and communicate when replacements are needed. Properly use required personal protective equipment and follow established safety procedures when working with paints, coatings, fumes, chemicals, tools, and equipment. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized paint and work area. Assist with movement and positioning of equipment and components as necessary. Perform other related duties as assigned Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous industrial, automotive, construction equipment, or similar painting experience preferred. Experience using spray guns, sanding equipment, and other paint preparation tools preferred. Knowledge of paint preparation, application techniques, and finishing processes. Ability to safely operate applicable tools and equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Pay:
$22.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
