The Protective Coating Technician's actual duties and responsibilities shall be complimentary to and in support of organizational operations. Therefore, the duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following: Prepare products for coating application by cleaning material surface(s) Select and mix protective coating medium in accordance with manufacturers specifications Applies protective coating to product using appropriate application techniques Maintain blast and application equipment for optimal efficiency Manage protective coating consumable material(s) safely to preserve materials for later use Removes rust from metal with wire brush, steel wool, or non-corrosive medium as appropriate Set-up and maintain painting area Practice and promote good housekeeping practices Any other duties assigned by management. Position Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty at an elevated level.
