In this role, you will be responsible for applying powder coating finishes to various metal components, ensuring high-quality surface finishes that meet strict industry standards. Your expertise will help us deliver durable, visually appealing products while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the finishing process of high-quality manufactured goods in a fast-paced, safety-focused setting. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal coating adhesion and finish quality Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns and airless paint sprayers, with precision and consistency Load and unload materials using forklifts or hand tools, adhering to proper materials handling procedures Interpret production documents and specifications to apply coatings accurately according to project requirements Maintain safety protocols by correctly using personal protective equipment (PPE), respirators, and respiratory protection at all times Inspect finished products through visual color comparison and surface quality checks to ensure compliance with quality standards in production Perform routine maintenance on coating equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed Experience Prior experience in industrial painting, powder coating, or manufacturing environments required Familiarity with coating application techniques such as conventional spraying, airless paint spraying, and finishing processes Ability to interpret technical drawings, production documents, and machining instructions Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thickness and material usage Mechanical knowledge related to hand tools, machining, and equipment maintenance is advantageous Commitment to safety protocol adherence, including PPE use, respirator fitting, and safety standards in industrial painting environments
Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
