In this role, you will oversee the powder coating process, ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of metal components. Duties Supervise daily powder coating operations, including surface preparation, coating application, and curing processes Ensure all team members follow safety protocols, including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) use such as respirators and protective clothing Monitor and maintain quality standards in production, conducting visual color comparisons and surface inspections Interpret production documents and work orders to meet specifications and deadlines Operate and oversee equipment such as spray guns (airless paint spraying, conventional spraying), hand tools, and machining tools for surface preparation Manage materials handling, including forklift operation for moving raw materials and finished products safely Conduct regular training on safety procedures, PPE adherence, and proper use of coating equipment Requirements Proven experience in manufacturing environments with knowledge of industrial painting or powder coating processes Mechanical knowledge related to spray guns, coating application techniques, and surface preparation methods like construction painting surface preparation or auto body repair Ability to interpret technical documents related to production finishing and materials handling Familiarity with quality standards in production and visual color comparison techniques Competence in using hand tools, machining equipment, and auto painting tools for coating applications Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to coating thicknesses, and material usage Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely within a manufacturing setting Strong adherence to safety protocols including respiratory protection and PPE use at all times Join us as a Powder Coating Supervisor where your leadership will ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality while fostering a safe and efficient work environment.
