Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coater/General Laborer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality powder coatings to a variety of metal products, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and safety protocols. Your expertise will help deliver durable, visually appealing finished products that meet customer specifications. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for coating by performing surface cleaning, sanding, and surface preparation using hand tools and mechanical knowledge. Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns, airless paint sprayers, and conventional spray systems to apply coatings evenly. Interpret production documents such as work orders and specifications to ensure correct application procedures and color matching through visual color comparison. Handle materials safely using proper warehouse practices and materials handling techniques, including forklift operation when necessary. Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to adhere to safety protocols and quality standards in production. Inspect finished products for coating consistency, surface defects, and adherence to quality standards; perform touch-ups as needed. Use precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness and ensure compliance with specifications. Operate Blasting Cabinet DA Sanders. Load & Unload Conveyor Line Requirements Previous experience in industrial painting, powder coating, or manufacturing environment preferred but willing to train the right person. Able to lift at least 50 lbs. Familiarity with hand tools, machining processes, and the use of coating spray guns or airless paint sprayers. Strong understanding of safety protocols including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), respirator use, respiratory protection, and adherence to safety procedures at all times. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thickness and material usage. Experience with warehouse operations or materials handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus. Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of coating machinery maintenance is advantageous. Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
