Summary/Objective The Powder Painter is responsible for all set up of painting equipment and painting processes (powder, spray, or liquid) for the organization. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Hand spraying parts or products using liquid or powder coat painting processes. Mixing liquid paint or powder to specifications. Cleaning and prepping of parts prior to painting, including plugging and masking parts to be painted. Wearing protective equipment while working is mandatory. Working in powder paint booth for extended periods of time. Verification that finished work is in conformance. Initiative & safety Conscious Basic math skills Time management Protective Equipment Required Safety glasses Steel-toed shoes Chemical suits, when necessary, as well as ear plugs, vests and coveralls Respirator or face-shield when necessary Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 1st shift- 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 2nd shift- 3:30 p.m. to midnight., 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
