Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality coatings to a variety of industrial components and structures, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and safety protocols. Your expertise in surface preparation, painting techniques, and material handling will contribute to the production of durable, visually appealing finished products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where precision, safety, and craftsmanship are valued. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by performing surface cleaning, sanding, and surface preparation in accordance with construction painting standards. Operate various painting equipment including spray guns (airless, conventional), powder coating systems, and hand tools to apply coatings accurately and efficiently. Interpret production documents such as work orders, blueprints, and specifications to ensure correct application of coatings and finishes. Handle materials safely using proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as respirators, gloves, and protective clothing while adhering to safety protocols. Use precision measuring instruments and visual color comparison techniques to ensure coating consistency and quality. Maintain a clean work environment by managing materials handling, waste disposal, and equipment upkeep in compliance with lean manufacturing principles. Collaborate with fabrication, machining, welding, auto body repair teams, and other departments to support seamless production finishing processes. Operate forklifts and cranes as needed for materials movement within the warehouse or production area. Conduct quality checks throughout the painting process to meet industry standards in industrial painting and coating applications. Document work progress accurately on production records and reports for traceability and quality assurance purposes. Experience Prior experience in industrial painting or manufacturing environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with powder coating, auto painting, or construction surface preparation is advantageous. Hands-on knowledge of spray guns (airless or conventional), power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and machining processes. Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents with precision. Experience working with safety protocols related to respiratory protection (respirators), PPE use, and hazardous materials handling. Warehouse experience or familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts or cranes is beneficial. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thicknesses and surface preparations are essential. Pay:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
