Industrial Painter/Coatings Applicator Blue Patriot Fab Omaha, NE Job Details Full-time From $22 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Safety equipment provided Qualifications Maintenance Manufacturing facility experience Attention to detail Sandblasting Manufacturing Full Job Description Blue Patriot Fab is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter / Coatings Applicator to apply protective paints and ceramic coatings to ductile iron pipe and fittings. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial painting, coatings, surface preparation, or similar manufacturing processes. This position requires attention to detail, quality workmanship, and the ability to safely work in a heavy manufacturing environment. Experience with sandblasting, lathes, or other industrial equipment is a plus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Apply ceramic coatings and protective finishes to ductile iron pipe and fittings according to company and manufacturer specifications.
  • Prepare surfaces through cleaning, grinding, blasting, or other approved methods.
  • Mix and prepare coating materials and operate coating equipment.
  • Monitor coating thickness, coverage, appearance, and overall quality.
  • Inspect finished products and perform touch-ups or corrections as needed.
  • Operate sandblasting, lathes, and other production equipment as required.
  • Set up, clean, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Properly handle, store, and dispose of coating materials and chemicals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all safety, PPE, and environmental requirements.
  • Report equipment, material, and quality issues to the supervisor.
  • Perform other production duties as assigned. Qualifications
  • Previous experience in industrial painting, coatings application, spray painting, surface preparation, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience with ceramic, epoxy, polyurethane, or similar protective coatings preferred.
  • Experience with grinding, sandblasting, cleaning, coating thickness measurement, or quality inspection is a plus.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to safely operate production tools and equipment. Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements.
  • Lift and carry materials and equipment as required.
  • Wear required PPE, including respiratory protection when necessary.
  • Safely work around large industrial equipment, machinery, hoists, and forklift traffic.
Work Environment This position works in a heavy manufacturing environment with potential exposure to coatings, solvents, dust, noise, heat, cold, odors, and other manufacturing conditions. Employees must follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE. Training will be provided for company-specific equipment, processes, and safety requirements.
