Contract Painter Job Summary:

Pay:

$18 per hour, 1st shift Position, and contract for tentatively 2 months or longer We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of professional painting experience and prior experience operating a scissor lift in an industrial or manufacturing environment. This position requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and flexibility to work extended evening hours and occasional weekends to meet customer deadlines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, masking, and priming as needed. Apply paints, coatings, stains, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Operate paint spray systems and maintain consistent coating quality and thickness. Safely operate a scissor lift to perform painting tasks at elevated heights. Inspect finished work to ensure compliance with company and customer quality standards. Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications. Maintain painting equipment and perform routine cleaning and maintenance. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Read and interpret work orders, specifications, and production schedules. Assist with facility maintenance painting and special projects as assigned. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Support production schedules and customer requirements by working overtime, evenings, and weekends when necessary. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of professional painting experience in a manufacturing, industrial, commercial, or related environment. Previous experience operating a scissor lift is required. Ability to safely work at heights. Knowledge of paint systems, coatings, surface preparation, and application techniques. Ability to use spray painting equipment and painting tools effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to read and understand work instructions and safety procedures. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
