$18/hour starting pay (Eligible for a boot fitter raise upon completion of training and final check-off)
Schedule:
Full-Time, 4 days/week (10-hour shifts, 8:00am-6:00pm)
Seasonal Position:
December through April About the Role We're looking for a full-time Boot Fitter to join our team of passionate, detail-oriented professionals. This is a specialized position that requires training, hands-on learning, and a commitment to consistency in technique. All new hires are brought on as boot fitting trainees and must complete our in-house training and pass a "check-off" before being recognized as a certified Boot Fitter and eligible for a raise. In addition to boot fitting, team members in this role are expected to support the retail floor and demo shop as needed. That includes helping customers with ski and apparel sales, assisting with rentals and demo setups, and ensuring the overall shop runs smoothly during busy times. How It Works Start at $18/hour while training Receive hands-on mentorship from experienced fitters Learn our shop's tested methods, materials, and communication style Once you've demonstrated consistency, skill, and understanding, you'll be "checked off" and move into a full Boot Fitter role with increased pay Key Responsibilities Perform foot assessments and boot fittings Modify boots with punches, grinds, liners, and footbeds (training provided) Educate customers on fit, performance, and product recommendations Assist with boot-related issues, adjustments, and custom work Maintain workspace cleanliness and manage fitting tools/materials Support general shop operations when needed (retail, demo, tuning drop-offs) Qualifications Full-time availability required (4 days/week, 10-hour shifts including weekends and holidays) Customer service experience preferred Comfortable working with tools and hands-on modifications Curious, coachable, and able to follow a structured training process Prior experience in boot fitting is a plus, but not required Must have reliable transportation to Alta, if wanting to work up canyon
