Job Description

North Scottsdale custom picture framing studio is expanding and looking for the right candidate to fulfill a position as a full-time custom picture framer. On the job training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with their hands and interested in pursuing a long-term position. This is an incredible opportunity to learn a skilled trade.
JOB SUMMARY
The production framer is responsible for constructing and assembling picture frames to showcase artwork, jerseys, photographs, and other collectible memorabilia.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
: Measure, cut, and assemble mat boards, frames, and glass or acrylic covers to precise specifications Mount and secure artwork or memorabilia using appropriate materials and conservation techniques Operating framing tools and equipment safely, including saws, mat cutters, and joiners Prepare and condition items for framing, including steaming jerseys, to ensure professional presentation Maintain accurate records of inventory in production, materials, and production timelines Identify and address quality issues promptly, making necessary corrections to ensure workmanship meets company standards Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow company procedures for handling and storing completed items Assist with inventory management and ordering of framing supplies Other duties as required
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity Knowledge of framing materials and conservation techniques Experience using hand and power tools Ability to work independently Basic computer skills Eagerness to learn and master new techniques Ability to lift 40 pounds
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience in custom framing, woodworking, or visual arts
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position works in a shop environment. Physical demands of the job include frequent standing, walking, and lifting, carrying, reaching and repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers. Employee may be required to lift up to 40 pounds.
