Responsibilities Configure and operate manual machine tools to produce metal components to exact specifications. Interpret complex blueprints and technical sketches to execute precise layout work. Optimize machining processes by calculating feeds, speeds, and tapers for various materials. Perform comprehensive maintenance, including the dismantling, alignment, and repair of industrial machinery. Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, gauges, and protractors to ensure strict quality control. Operate cranes and mobile shop equipment to support safe and efficient material handling. Maintain accurate documentation and production reports to track project progress. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in manual machining, including lathe operation and fabrication. Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints. Expertise in precision measurement, inspection, and close-tolerance machining. Demonstrated ability in machine setup, troubleshooting, and plant equipment repair. Experience working with diverse materials including steel, iron, brass, and various alloys. Commitment to safety protocols while operating cranes and heavy shop machinery. Preferred Skills Working knowledge of CNC tooling and production run setups. Advanced proficiency in manual metalworking techniques. Experience with industrial maintenance and fitting work.
