Back CAM Operations Sprue Technician @ Stuller Description Join our Manufacturing team — production, assembly, operation of equipment, and more — and help us deliver an unmatched selection of products made with quality materials and workmanship. The Wax team creates and refines high-quality wax patterns for the lost-wax casting process. They use a variety of handheld tools, similar to dental instruments, to shape wax and plastic injections from molds. They will inspect the quality of pieces and remove any flaws from the patterns. The separate wax and plastic pieces are combined onto a common sprue rod to create a tree-like structure also used in the lost-wax casting process. The CAM Operations Sprue Technician is responsible for preparing 3D printed resins for the gold casting process by shaping, supporting, and refining resin pieces under the guidance of the Wax Manager. Key Responsibilities Inspect and shape 3D printed resin pieces to ensure quality and accuracy. Add wax wire and clean/spray each resin piece in preparation for casting. Process and maintain accurate paperwork, updating the computer tracking system as needed. Remove structures from resins to refine the final product. Adjust piece sizes as necessary to meet specifications.
