We are seeking a skilled and experienced Copper Foil and Glass Fusing Instructor to teach students of varying skill levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stained glass, copper foil, glass fusing, or related glass arts and be passionate about sharing creative techniques in a supportive, hands-on learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct engaging, hands-on instructional sessions in copper foil and/or glass fusing for beginners and beyond. Demonstrate safe and effective techniques for cutting, shaping, grinding, foiling, soldering, and/or fusing glass. Provide guidance, feedback, and encouragement as students develop their skills and complete individual projects. Adapt instruction to accommodate students with different experience levels and learning styles. Create a welcoming, creative, and safety-conscious classroom environment. Provide guidance on appropriate tools, materials, and equipment used in copper foil and glass fusing.
Qualifications:
Experienced artist or craftsperson with demonstrated skill in copper foil, stained glass, glass fusing, or related glass arts. Teaching or workshop experience preferred; ability to work effectively with beginners and more experienced students. Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. Patient, encouraging, and enthusiastic about sharing creative skills with others. Commitment to safe practices when working with glass, tools, solder, kilns, and related equipment.
