Job Description

  • Job Title: Electrical Assembler
  • Job Description
  • The Electrical Assembler builds, wires, and tests electrical systems within chiller units in accordance with engineering specifications, wiring diagrams, and detailed work instructions.

This role focuses on the safe and precise installation and integration of components such as control panels, motors, sensors, and high‑voltage wiring. By ensuring product quality, meeting safety requirements, and supporting efficient production, the Electrical Assembler directly contributes to the reliable performance of advanced refrigeration equipment.

  • Responsibilities
  • + Perform complete electrical wiring of chiller units from scratch, including routing, cutting, stripping, and terminating wires.

+ Install and connect electrical components such as contactors, relays, sensors, motors, and control panels.

+ Read and interpret electrical schematics to guide wiring and assembly work accurately.

+ Handle and work with cables ranging from 2 AWG to 4/0 AWG DLO, ensuring proper installation and secure terminations.

+ Apply a solid understanding of electrical fundamentals to ensure safe and reliable operation of chiller units.

+ Use volt tests and basic troubleshooting methods to identify and resolve electrical issues within the units.

+ Follow detailed work instructions and engineering specifications to maintain high standards of quality and safety.

+ Support efficient production processes by completing assembly tasks in a timely and organized manner.

+ Lift and move components and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds as required during assembly and installation.

+ Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area in compliance with facility safety guidelines.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Minimum of 4+ years of electrical assembly experience.

+ Proficient understanding of electrical fundamentals and component functions.

+ Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics accurately.

+ Prior experience handling cables from 2 AWG to 4/0 AWG DLO.

+ Basic knowledge of volt tests with the ability to discuss and apply troubleshooting techniques.

+ Ability to lift up to 75 pounds safely and repeatedly as part of daily tasks.

  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + HVAC experience is preferred and beneficial for working with chiller units. + Interest in understanding the purpose and application of electrical components within complex systems. + Willingness to travel for training, including potential travel to Canada for advanced development. + Comfort working in a production environment with advanced refrigeration equipment.

  • The role is based in a production facility focused on advanced refrigeration and chiller units.

The standard schedule consists of four 10‑hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., providing a consistent daytime work pattern with extended weekends. Work involves hands‑on electrical assembly, wiring, and testing, including frequent handling of heavy components and high‑voltage cabling. The environment emphasizes safety, with appropriate protective footwear supported by a safety boot allowance and work uniforms provided to maintain a professional and practical dress code. Employees work with electrical schematics, tools for routing and terminating wires, and testing equipment for volt measurements and troubleshooting, all within a structured, team‑oriented setting.

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $25.

00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
