Assemblers and Inspectors (IPC 610 or 620)

Job Description

Perform inspection and assembly of circuit card assemblies and cable harnesses in an electronics manufacturing environment using IPC workmanship standards. Job Requirements Experience in electronics manufacturing. Experience with circuit card assemblies (CCA). Experience with cable harness assembly or inspection. Knowledge of
IPC-A-610
acceptance criteria for electronic assemblies. Knowledge of
IPC/WHMA-A-620
requirements for cable and wire harness assemblies. Experience performing visual inspection of electronic assemblies. Experience identifying workmanship defects and nonconforming conditions. Ability to read and follow assembly drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation. Preferred Skills Current or previous
IPC-A-610
certification. Current or previous
IPC/WHMA-A-620
certification. Experience inspecting soldered electronic assemblies. Experience assembling cable harnesses, connectors, and wiring. Experience with soldering, crimping, wire preparation, and connector installation. Experience using inspection tools or magnification equipment. Experience working in aerospace, defense, or other regulated electronics manufacturing environments. Job Responsibilities Assemble circuit card assemblies, cable harnesses, and related electronic components. Inspect completed assemblies according to IPC-A-610 and
IPC/WHMA-A-620
requirements. Perform visual inspections for soldering, wiring, crimping, connector, and workmanship defects. Verify assemblies against drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing specifications. Identify and document nonconforming materials or workmanship. Perform cable preparation, routing, termination, crimping, and connector assembly as assigned. Support soldering and electronic assembly operations as required. Maintain required manufacturing and inspection documentation. Verify completed products meet applicable quality and workmanship standards.
