Mechanical Assembler / Technician Job Description This role focuses on disassembling, cleaning, troubleshooting, rebuilding, and testing printer components to ensure they function correctly before being prepared for shipment. You will work with a variety of mechanical and electronic assemblies, follow established procedures and instructions, and contribute to a high-quality repair service that helps customers extend the life of their printers instead of replacing them. Responsibilities + Disassemble printer parts and mechanical assemblies carefully and accurately. + Clean mechanical components and assemblies to prepare them for inspection and reassembly. + Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electronic components to identify faults and defects. + Rebuild and reassemble printer components according to procedures, schematics, and blueprints. + Test repaired and rebuilt parts to verify proper operation and performance. + Prepare completed components and printers for shipping, ensuring they are properly packaged and labeled. + Follow written procedures, work instructions, and schematics consistently and accurately. + Perform quality checks at each step of the process to ensure high standards of workmanship. + Use hand tools, power tools, crimping tools, and soldering equipment safely and effectively. + Work independently to meet productivity expectations and daily production goals. + Handle wiring, wire harnesses, and electronic assemblies as needed for printer repairs. + Use tape measures and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and fit of components. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area within the production environment. + Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent workflow. + Collaborate with team members and supervisors as needed to resolve technical or process issues.
