Pay Range:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour At OTC, being an Electrical Technician is more than assisting with panel assembly-it's an opportunity to build a rewarding career. You'll work alongside experienced electrical technicians, gain hands-on experience with industrial control panels, and develop the foundational skills needed for a successful career in electrical assembly.   • Assist with building crates and preparing completed electrical panels for shipment.
  • Support the assembly and stuffing of electrical control panels under the guidance of experienced technicians.
  • Assist with wiring smaller electrical components and basic junction boxes while learning proper wiring techniques.
  • Label electrical panels and equipment according to work instructions and engineering drawings.
  • Learn to use hand tools and measuring devices, including tape measures, to support accurate assembly.
  • Develop a basic understanding of point-to-point drawings and wiring schematics through hands-on training.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with experienced team members while building the skills needed to perform tasks with increasing independence. What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn electrical assembly processes.
  • Ability to use or learn to accurately read a tape measure.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Dependable work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous learning.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
