Job Title:
Electrical Assembly Technician Job Description This role focuses on assembling and installing electrical components and wiring in a small warehouse production environment. You will work at your own station, carefully handling small wires and parts, following blueprints and schematics to ensure high-quality, defect-free assemblies. Responsibilities Assemble and install electrical components and wiring according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. Position, align, and adjust electrical parts to facilitate proper wiring and assembly. Examine assembled components and wiring for defects, ensuring all work meets quality standards. Perform detailed, seated assembly work with small wires and electrical parts throughout the shift. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete mechanical and electronic assembly tasks. Crimp, solder, and prepare wire harnesses and other electronic assemblies as required. Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work station to support consistent production output. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with tools, equipment, and electrical components. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Adapt to training and new processes, demonstrating reliability by consistently showing up and keeping pace with production requirements. Essential Skills At least 1 year of assembly experience in a production, manufacturing, or similar environment. Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills for handling small wires and components. Comfort with sitting for extended periods while performing detailed assembly work. Ability to read and follow blueprints and schematics for electrical and mechanical assemblies. Experience with wiring and wire harness assembly. Proficiency in crimping and soldering for electronic assembly tasks. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Attention to detail and ability to inspect assemblies for defects. Basic mechanical and electronic assembly skills. Ability to work reliably within set shift hours and maintain consistent attendance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in electronic assembly, including soldering and harness building. Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes and power tools. Ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams. Comfort working independently at a dedicated work station. Willingness to learn new techniques and processes through on-the-job training. Work Environment The role is based in a small warehouse setting where you will work at your own dedicated station for most of the day. The position is primarily seated, with continuous handling of small wires and components. Standard schedule options include a first shift from 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with a 30-minute paid lunch. There is flexibility to work four 10-hour days or four 9-hour days plus an additional 5 hours on Friday. You will use hand and power tools, follow blueprints and schematics, and work in a production environment that emphasizes safety, organization, and consistent workflow. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudsonville, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
