Full-Time 1. Position Purpose The Electronics Assembly position supports production by assembling electronic components and related parts according to written instructions, verbal direction, production drawings, sample assemblies, and applicable quality requirements. Work performed in this position may affect product conformity, customer satisfaction, and the effectiveness of the company's quality management system. 2. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Understand and follow written and verbal work instructions. Follow production drawings, bills of material, travelers, sample assemblies, and related documentation. Use fixtures and tools to align parts in the specified relationship to each other. Solder components using a soldering iron in accordance with applicable workmanship requirements. Mount components on PCB panels and related assemblies. Connect component lead wires to PCB boards and assemblies as required. Work with extremely fine wire, small components, and detailed assembly requirements. Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, sanding, cleaning, etching, and other related production activities. Inspect own work for obvious defects and notify supervision or quality personnel of nonconforming product or process concerns. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow applicable company policies, safety requirements, quality procedures, and production practices. 3. Required Competence, Training, and Experience Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, production drawings, and sample assemblies. Ability to perform detailed hand assembly work with small parts and fine wire. Ability to use basic hand tools, fixtures, and soldering equipment safely and correctly. Ability to communicate production or quality concerns to supervision or quality personnel. Soldering experience is preferred but not required; training may be provided where needed. Competence may be demonstrated through education, prior experience, on-the-job training, supervised practice, observation, or other company-approved evaluation methods. 4. Quality Management System Awareness The employee is expected to understand that their work can affect product quality, delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company quality requirements. The employee is responsible for following approved instructions, reporting problems, preventing the unintended use of nonconforming products, and asking questions when requirements are unclear. 5. Work Schedule, Conditions, and Employment Requirements Standard schedule: 40-hour work week, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with 30 minutes for lunch. Starting pay is dependent on experience. Drug testing is required. Work may require sitting or standing for extended periods, handling small components, using soldering equipment, and performing repetitive detailed assembly tasks. 6.
