Job Description

Position Summary The purpose of a Conduit Assembler is to install electrical systems in the Power Control Room (PCR) and to ensure the PCR is shipped and delivered on time. Essential Responsibilities Performs standard conduit bends and offsets Properly installs conduit & devices (interior & exterior) Accurately lays out, modifies, & installs wireway/cable tray per design Properly installs lighting, pipe lighting, & fixtures (interior & exterior) Demonstrates knowledge of conduit types, sizes, & fittings Properly & safely uses & maintains tools (band saw, threader, knockout) Reads & uses tape measure/other measuring tools Demonstrates ability to work from standard conduit schedule Wiring (i.e. anchoring, tie-wrapping, routing, flagging, and wire tagging) Crimping Wire/Cable stripping Adhere to all manufacturing policies and practices Ensure quality by following standard work/process instructions and identifying any potential risks to product quality Ensure that work areas remain clean and well organized Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or General Education Equivalent Certificate Successful candidate will typically have a minimum of 1 year of relevant wiring experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have previous conduit experience with both thick and thin wall conduit. Must have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbal Must have basic mathematical skills (i.e. fractions, conversions) Skills, Abilities & Other Requirements Basic mechanical knowledge Must be familiar with common and job specific tools Must be able to read a tape measure Must be able to read and interpret prints (e.g. specification sheets, wiring diagrams, schematics, three-line and part drawings) Must be able to perform basic point-to-point wiring Working & Environmental Conditions Lifting up to 40lbs Standing on ladder up to 6-8 hours per day Sit in a semi-enclosed space to perform work Work overhead for extended periods of time Adhere to all safety policies and practices
