Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Solder Technician is responsible for soldering surface mount and through-hole components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) in accordance with
IPC-A-610
workmanship standards. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Solder surface mount components (SMT) onto PCBs. Solder through-hole components with precision and accuracy. Perform visual inspection of solder joints and assemblies to ensure compliance with
IPC-A-610
standards. Read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and work instructions. Identify and count components accurately. Maintain organization of parts and work area. Adhere to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety protocols. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Proven experience soldering SMT and through-hole components. Familiarity with and ability to inspect solder joints to
IPC-A-610
workmanship standards. Good working knowledge of ESD procedures and IPC standards. Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, including BOMs and assembly drawings. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to identify electronic components accurately. High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Pay Details:
