Job Description

JOB PURPOSE or
JOB SUMMARY
The Panel Technician works independently or as part of a team to assemble and wire components for industrial control panels and cabinets according to blueprints and wiring diagrams. You may be involved with mechanical assembly for robotic systems. Also, occasionally you will assemble components using extruded aluminum materials. This can be an entry-level position for those who intend to continue their education in the field of engineering or in the electrical trade.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Consistent delivery of a positive customer experience as evident through minimal customer complaints and defect free control panel construction
  • Willingness to assist Sure Controls associates
  • Accountable to committed tasks including overtime as needed to complete projects.
  • Prioritize work schedule effectively.
  • Demonstrate proficient use of basic power and hand tools.
  • Communicate any print inaccuracies to the Project Manager and/or Shop Supervisor.
  • Maintain clean shop/work area
  • Includes putting tools away, sweeping floor, and taking out garbage as a shared responsibility.
  • Assistance with value-add distribution assembly.
  • Contribute to a positive P&L statement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma Experience and/or
Training:
1 year mechanical assembly or electrical assembly experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Customer Support experience required. Strong Communication skills (listening, questioning, speaking), Time Management skills. Exceptional desire and openness to learning new concepts. Interpretation of Written Information. Decision Making

Preferred understanding of electrical components and schematics.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
Sit or stand for extended periods of time. Speak and hear communications. Occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds. May be required to work hours outside of the typical 7:30a.m.

The noise level in the work environment is from moderate to loud. Remote work is not available for this position.
Pay:
$22.00
