metroSTOR Inc. is looking for a practical, reliable Mechanical Assembler to join our growing US manufacturing operation in Windsor, Connecticut. The role involves assembling fabricated metal products using hand and power tools, working from drawings and build instructions, carrying out basic jig welding where required, checking finished work and preparing products for shipment. You'll be working with fabricated panels, frames and assemblies, so this is a practical production role rather than light bench assembly. What you'll do Assemble fabricated products and subassemblies Use hand and power tools for drilling, fastening and fitting Carry out basic jig welding where required Check completed assemblies against drawings, build instructions and agreed QC requirements Identify and report defects, incorrect components, finish issues or assembly discrepancies Prepare and stage materials for assembly Palletise, crate and prepare finished products for shipment Support loading, material handling and general production activity Keep work areas, tools and equipment organised and safe What we're looking for Previous assembly, fabrication, manufacturing or similar practical experience Confident using common hand and power tools Some welding experience is useful but not essential Able to work from drawings, instructions or standard build methods Good attention to detail and quality Comfortable with practical material handling Reliable and able to work independently once trained Forklift experience is useful but not essential Formal welding qualifications are not required. We're looking for a good practical assembler who can produce consistent work and take pride in getting the details right.

Pay:

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
