The successful candidate will be responsible for rewinding, repairing, testing, and servicing AC and DC electric motors and related electrical equipment. Responsibilities Disassemble and inspect electric motors and generators. Remove old windings and prepare stators and rotors for rewinding. Wind and install coils according to manufacturer specifications. Connect, insulate, and secure motor windings. Perform soldering, brazing, and lead connections as required. Install insulation, wedges, sleeving, and other winding materials. Reassemble motors and perform electrical and mechanical testing. Use test equipment such as megohmmeters, multimeters, surge testers, and resistance meters. Diagnose motor failures and determine necessary repairs. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow electrical safety procedures and company quality standards. Qualifications Previous experience winding and repairing electric motors required. Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase motors. Ability to read winding diagrams and motor nameplates. Basic understanding of electrical theory and motor operation. Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools. Ability to lift and move heavy motor components safely. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Experience with industrial motors, pumps, or generators is a plus.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
