In this role, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems according to detailed technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with measuring instruments, and experience interpreting schematics and blueprints. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality production processes in a dynamic industrial environment, ensuring precision and safety at every step. Responsibilities Assemble mechanical parts and systems using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial equipment. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and manufacturing documents to ensure accurate assembly. Measure components with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions. Use shop math skills to calculate measurements, tolerances, and assembly requirements. Follow safety protocols by properly utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety guidelines. Perform manual handling tasks efficiently while maintaining ergonomic practices. Conduct quality inspections during assembly to ensure compliance with specifications. Support machining processes as needed, including basic operations or adjustments. Document assembly steps and report any discrepancies or issues for resolution. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency. Skills Strong mathematical skills, including: Reading and using a tape measure accurately Converting between metric (mm) and imperial (inches) Converting fractions to decimals and vice versa Performing basic shop math calculations (Top priority) Ability to read and interpret: Blueprints Work instructions Standard operating procedures .
Mechanical aptitude with experience using:
Hand tools Power tools Basic assembly equipment Forklift experience is preferred but not required. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to learn quickly, follow detailed instructions, and maintain a high level of quality and accuracy.
