Mechanical Assembler Location:
Clackamas, OR Pay:
Up to $22.00/hr
Shift:
Monday-Friday | 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM Overview We're seeking a motivated Mechanical Assembler to join a growing manufacturing team building advanced industrial palletizing machines. In this role, you'll assemble mechanical components, route wiring, interpret blueprints, and help transform individual parts into fully functioning automated systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys working with tools and building equipment from the ground up. Key Responsibilities Assemble industrial palletizing machines from individual components and subassemblies. Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions. Install and assemble mechanical parts, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality. Route and organize wiring according to specifications and quality standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, air tools, torque tools, and measuring devices during assembly. Inspect completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with engineering requirements. Troubleshoot assembly issues and work with team members to identify solutions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality. Required Qualifications Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, equipment building, or a related mechanical field. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measuring equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities. Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment. High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience assembling industrial machinery, automated equipment, or production systems. Familiarity with wire routing and electrical component installation. Experience working with large mechanical assemblies and equipment. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Work Environment This position is based in a clean and modern manufacturing facility where industrial palletizing machines are assembled from start to finish. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
