Cedar Park, TX; On-site in an air-conditioned facility Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and motivated Fabricator/Painter to join our production team. This on-site position is responsible for safely and efficiently fabricating, assembling, preparing, and painting components and equipment according to engineering specifications, work instructions, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of fabrication experience, experience using measuring tools, and industrial painting experience. Candidates with automotive industry experience are also encouraged to apply. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up on time, works efficiently, and is committed to being a strong team player. What You'll Do Fabricate and form sheet metal using press brakes, CNC laser cutters, shears, drill presses, band saws, water jets, and other shop equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, dimensions, and tolerances. Set up and operate CNC and robotic fabrication equipment. Fit, assemble, tack-weld, and mechanically fasten sheet metal components. Perform MIG, TIG, and spot welding as required. Grind, sand, polish, and finish welds and surfaces to meet specifications. Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances. Prepare surfaces for painting through cleaning, masking, sanding, or blasting. Mix and apply primers, coatings, and topcoats using spray equipment, brushes, and rollers. Inspect fabricated and painted components for quality and complete rework or touch-ups as needed. Maintain accurate work orders, travelers, and inspection documentation. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas according to 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices. Follow all company, quality, and HSE policies and procedures, including Stop Work Authority. Support production schedules, continuous improvement efforts, and a zero-incident culture. Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For Required:
High school diploma or GED. At least 1 year of fabrication experience . At least 1 year of experience using measuring tools . Experience with industrial painting and surface preparation , including use of sprayers, brushes, and rollers. Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform assembly work. Ability to read and interpret assembly blueprints. Strong math and mechanical aptitude. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Motivation and drive to complete work in a timely manner. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including prolonged standing and bending and regularly lifting up to 25 lbs. Ability to meet applicable pre-employment requirements.
Preferred:
2+ years of manufacturing and/or fabrication experience. Experience with sheet metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, surface preparation, and painting. Experience with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and tape measures. Automotive industry experience. Pay:
$21.00 - $26.00 per hour
