Week Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Position Overview Phoenix Trinity is a firearms manufacturer specializing in precision firearm components and accessories. We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Polisher to join our manufacturing team. The Polisher is responsible for polishing and finishing metal firearm parts and accessories to achieve a high-quality, consistent finish while maintaining the original shape, dimensions, edges, and features of each component . This position requires excellent attention to detail, good visual acuity , strong hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work carefully with small precision components. The ability to visually identify fine scratches, surface imperfections, and subtle differences in finish is essential to this role. Previous metal polishing or finishing experience is preferred, but candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, previous metal work, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Polish and finish metal firearm components and accessories to established quality standards Use flat hand sanding, polishing wheels, compounds, and other finishing tools safely and effectively Produce a consistent, high-quality polished finish while maintaining the original shape and features of the part Avoid excessive material removal, rounding of edges, distortion, or other changes that could affect the appearance or function of precision components Inspect parts before, during, and after polishing for surface quality and consistency Identify scratches, imperfections, tool marks, and other surface defects requiring additional finishing Maintain consistent finishes across production batches Handle small, delicate, and precision-manufactured components with care Follow work instructions and established quality standards Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation Properly maintain polishing equipment, wheels, compounds, and tools Follow all company safety and manufacturing procedures Communicate quality concerns or damaged parts to the Production Supervisor Required Qualifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work Good visual acuity and ability to identify fine details, surface imperfections, and differences in finish, with or without reasonable accommodation Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to carefully handle small and precision-manufactured metal components Ability to recognize differences in surface finish, shape, edges, and overall appearance Ability to perform repetitive, detail-oriented work while maintaining consistent quality Ability to follow production instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures Dependable attendance and ability to maintain the Monday-Friday work schedule Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team Preferred Experience Previous experience is preferred but not required in areas such as: Metal polishing or finishing Buffing and polishing equipment Manufacturing or production Automotive or metal restoration Machining, fabrication, or similar mechanical work Hand tools and power tools Working with precision metal components Candidates with more extensive polishing, metal finishing, or manufacturing experience are also encouraged to apply. Physical & Work Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Visual acuity sufficient to inspect small precision components and identify fine scratches, tool marks, surface imperfections, uneven finishes, and changes in part shape or edges, with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements Ability to safely operate buffers, polishing wheels, and other finishing equipment Ability to work around manufacturing equipment in accordance with established safety procedures Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Performance in this position will be evaluated based on: Surface finish quality and consistency Ability to maintain the original shape and features of components during polishing Production throughput Defect and rework rate Proper handling of precision components Workstation safety, cleanliness, and organization Adherence to production and quality standards Confidentiality & Intellectual Property This position requires adherence to all Phoenix Trinity confidentiality standards . Employees must sign and comply with the company's Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and Intellectual Property Protection Agreement , protecting proprietary manufacturing processes, product designs, technical information, and customer information.
