This position is responsible for the setup and polishing of feed screws while ensuring all products meet blueprint specifications, required dimensions, and surface finish standards. Complete daily operator maintenance logs and report equipment issues promptly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Review blueprints, specifications, tolerances, and estimated hours for assigned jobs. Read and understand shop floor paperwork and work instructions. Utilize company software to accurately record labor time and job information. Produce quality products that meet customer and engineering specifications. Participate in Tier 1 meetings with supervisors. Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and radius gauges. Operate polishing equipment and pneumatic hand tools to achieve specified surface finishes. Stand for extended periods, up to 12 hours as needed. Work independently following completion of training. Work overtime as required to meet production demands. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED equivalent. Experience Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required. Knowledge & Skills Ability to safely use pneumatic hand tools and measuring equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to read and follow work instructions and blueprints. Strong communication skills. Ability to take ownership of finished products and work independently. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday. Regular use of hands for operating equipment and tools. Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally. Ability to accurately inspect parts and distinguish surface quality. Ability to hear and communicate effectively in a manufacturing environment. Work Environment This position works primarily in a manufacturing environment that may involve exposure to machinery noise and varying temperatures.
