Hunter Nutrition is hiring a Feed Salesperson in Brookston, IN, just north of West Lafayette.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe person in this position will have a key sales role within our feed company and will help grow our business by developing relationships with livestock producers and feed dealers. Responsibilities include generating new business, managing existing customer relationships, selling directly to producers, supporting dealer sales, and representing Hunter Nutrition at industry events. The ideal candidate understands livestock production, has proven feed sales experience, and enjoys helping customers improve animal health and performance through high-quality nutrition.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nAt Hunter Nutrition, Inc. we manufacture top quality texturized, pelleted, and mineral/premix feeds at our 58,000-sq. ft. plant. Compensation will vary according to experience.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nPlease describe your agriculture and feed sales experience in your cover letter.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat you would be doing:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tDevelop and grow feed sales with livestock producers, farms, and feed dealers.\r\n\tBuild and maintain strong relationships with current customers while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.\r\n\tMeet directly with producers to understand their livestock, feeding programs, production goals, and operational needs.\r\n\tSupport feed dealers with product information, customer questions, sales materials, and business development efforts.\r\n\tRecommend appropriate Hunter Nutrition products and feeding solutions based on customer needs.\r\n\tWork with Hunter Nutrition's nutritionist and internal team to provide feeding program support and resolve customer questions.\r\n\tFollow up on leads, prepare sales proposals, maintain customer records, and provide updates on sales activity and market opportunities.\r\n\tAttend occasional trade shows, producer meetings, dealer events, and other industry functions.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThis job might be for you if you have:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tA B.S. degree in agriculture, animal science, agribusiness, agricultural sales, or a related field is required.\r\n\tPrevious livestock feed sales experience is required.\r\n\tExperience selling directly to livestock producers and working with feed dealers.\r\n\tA strong understanding of livestock production, animal agriculture, and feed products.\r\n\tThe ability to prospect, develop new business, and manage customer relationships.\r\n\tStrong communication, presentation, organization, and customer service skills.\r\n\tThe ability and willingness to travel throughout the sales territory and attend occasional trade shows and industry events.\r\n\tA positive attitude, strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a commitment to providing excellent service.\r\n\r\n
