Late 2nd shift, Monday-Friday, 5:00PM-1:30AM; occasional weekends as needed
Job Summary:
The Sanitation Group Lead will oversee the sanitation team within a food manufacturing environment and ensure the facility, production lines, and equipment are properly cleaned, sanitized, and prepared for production. This role will lead, coach, and develop sanitation associates while ensuring compliance with GMP, food safety, OSHA, and company standards.
Must Have Skills:
3+ years of supervisory experience in food processing, pharmaceutical, chemical manufacturing, or similar industrial environmentKnowledge of sanitation processes, GMPs, HACCP, FDA regulations, food allergens, and pest controlAbility to lead, coach, train, schedule, and monitor associatesStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsProficiency with Excel or spreadsheet softwareAbility to safely handle chemicals, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in wet/dusty conditionsAbility to climb ladders and work flexible hours
Job Duties:
Manage, coach, train, and develop the sanitation teamMonitor sanitation activities and ensure proper cleaning of facilities and production equipmentPrepare production lines for timely pre-op inspectionsMaintain sanitation training matrices and verification recordsWrite work orders for equipment requiring repairMonitor CIP systems, chemical concentrations, and sanitation processesMaintain required sanitation documentation and logsAssist with troubleshooting and equipment disassembly/reassemblyCoordinate with production and other departments to support safe and efficient operationsMonitor production variables including run rates, processing times, and changeoversPromote product quality, safety, cost control, and reduction of downtime and wasteFollow all GMP, food safety, OSHA, and company policiesReport unsafe conditions, injuries, or harassment appropriatelyAssist other departments as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentDemonstrated knowledge of sanitation and environmental operationsSCADA or computerized manufacturing equipment experience preferredKnowledge of refrigeration and manufacturing equipmentMechanical aptitude, including equipment disassembly/reassemblyStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a self-directed teamMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely work with chemicalsMust be willing to work occasional weekends and flexible hours Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
