District Technician / Equipment Manager Responsible for promoting and implementing agricultural conservation practices through working with landowners, producers, and partner agencies. Provides technical assistance and agricultural conservation advice, conducts field visits, assists with the planning and design of conservation practices, and monitors completed projects to ensure compliance with program requirements. Responsibilities include administering agricultural cost-share contracts, assisting landowners with applications and required documentation, reviewing conservation practice plans, conducting site inspections and spot checks, and maintaining accurate program records. Manages the District's conservation equipment, including scheduling equipment rentals, coordinating equipment delivery and/or pickup, operating equipment as needed, and performing routine maintenance and repairs on the District's no-till drill and other equipment to ensure it remains safe, functional, and ready for use. Performs general office and administrative duties, including computer work, recordkeeping, answering phones, communicating with landowners, preparing documentation, and assisting with District programs and activities. Works independently in both office and field settings with minimal supervision.
