The Mechanic Helper assists mechanics with vehicle maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general shop operations. This position is ideal for individuals seeking to expand their automotive knowledge and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced automotive repair environment. Duties and Responsibilities Assist mechanics with vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repair tasks.
Perform basic automotive services under the supervision of a mechanic.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Gather, clean, and organize tools and equipment used during repairs.
Assist with lifting, moving, and positioning vehicle parts and equipment.
Perform shop cleanup duties and dispose of waste materials properly.
Assist in checking fluid levels, changing filters, and other routine maintenance tasks.
Report equipment issues or safety concerns to management.
Follow all shop safety procedures and workplace policies.
Provide general labor support as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older.
Minimum of six (6) months of experience in an automotive repair shop, mechanic shop, or related automotive field.
Automotive certifications are a plus but not required.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Must be dependable, motivated, and willing to learn. Pay Starting at $350+ per week, depending on experience, certifications, and hours worked. Schedule Scheduled hours may vary.
