Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bar Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty bar saw machines to cut and shape metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in machine setup, safety standards, and measurement will ensure high-quality production output. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment where safety, accuracy, and productivity are paramount. Duties Operate bar saw machines to cut metal materials according to technical drawings and specifications Set up and calibrate saws, ensuring proper tooling, blade alignment, and safety features are in place before operation Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to determine cutting dimensions and angles Maintain accurate records of production runs, measurements, and quality inspections Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance Use precision measuring instruments to verify cut dimensions and ensure adherence to quality standards Follow all safety protocols related to machine operation, material handling, and personal protective equipment (PPE) Requirements Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as CNC laser cutting machines, press brakes, CNC milling machines, or similar equipment in a manufacturing setting Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately Proficiency in using measuring instruments for quality control purposes Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and adherence to safety protocols at all times Ability to perform shop math and basic calculations related to machining processes Familiarity with tooling setup, metal fabrication techniques, and sheet metal forming processes Certification or experience with forklift operation is a plus but not mandatory Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision measurement and quality assurance Join our team as a Bar Saw Operator where your skills will directly impact our manufacturing excellence!
