Hiring Immediately:

Saw Shop Operator - 1st Shift (Full-Time) The Saw Shop Operator is responsible for setting up and operating power saws to slot, cut, and trim wooden pallets. Candidates with previous experience in warehouse, lumber, carpentry, roofing, landscaping, logistics, or construction are encouraged to apply. Saturday hours may be optional depending on workload.

Responsibilities:

Safely set up, operate, and maintain power saws and related equipment. Accurately cut, trim, and slot wooden pallets to specifications with attention to detail. Strictly adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Perform repetitive lifting, handling, and maneuvering of materials weighing 50-75 lbs. Work efficiently in various environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and air particulate. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. Be willing to work occasional overtime and optional Saturday hours as required by workload.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in warehouse, lumber, carpentry, roofing, landscaping, logistics, or construction is preferred but not required—we are willing to train reliable candidates. Ability to perform sustained physical labor: standing, walking, bending, stooping, and pivoting for an entire shift. Must be able to repetitively lift 50-75 lbs. Excellent hand-eye coordination, balance, and manual dexterity. Strong commitment to safety and quality. Good communication skills and a reliable, team-player attitude. Must have close vision, distance vision, and color vision.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with woodworking tools (air-driven, electric, pneumatic, manual) Background in construction, carpentry, welding, lumbering, or roofing preferred Why Work at 48Forty?
