We are looking for a Tool and Die Maker to join the team at our Norridge, IL location. The Norridge location of NSI is a progressive manufacturer of die castings that has been in business for 60+ years, and we look forward to having you join our team! Please note, this is a full-time, 1st shift position (7am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday). General Summary Accountable for the construction and repair of molds per customer and company requirements. Responsibilities Examine tool/piece part drawing and determine sequence of operations necessary for construction of mold Construct mold to customer specifications Notify Tool Room Manager when mold needs to be sent out for heat treating, wire burning, jig-grinding, polishing, Blanchard grinding or engraving Accountable for inspection of completed mold and completion of steel checklist Notify Tool Room Manager when job has been completed and complete New Die Checklist Operate CNC, mill, grinder, lathe, saw and EDM machine Request necessary supplies such as carbon, cutters, components, etc. Complete time tickets for operations performed and enter into the computer at the end of shift, daily Notify Tool Room Manager of any quality concerns Stop a job when a nonconformance has been detected and notify Tool Room Manager Accountable for assigned repair work and completion of associated repair tags Required Qualifications Mold making Blueprint reading Use of measuring equipment Machine operation Computer knowledge

Salary Range:
