About the Position M&M Precision Machining is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Deburring & Finishing Technician to join our 1st Shift team. This position is responsible for performing deburring, finishing, and other secondary operations on precision-machined components to ensure parts meet customer specifications and M&M's quality standards. The ideal candidate has previous experience in deburring, finishing, or a closely related precision manufacturing role and is comfortable working independently from blueprints, work instructions, and other manufacturing documentation. This position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of deburring and finishing techniques, and the ability to recognize and consistently produce high-quality finished components. What You'll Do Deburr precision-machined components by removing burrs, sharp edges, excess material, and imperfections in accordance with blueprint and job requirements. Perform finishing operations such as filing, sanding, polishing, blending, and edge breaking as required by part specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, job travelers, and other manufacturing documentation to determine part and finishing requirements. Select and use appropriate hand tools, pneumatic and powered tools, and other deburring and finishing equipment safely and effectively. Visually inspect completed parts for burrs, surface imperfections, damage, and other quality concerns. Use inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools to verify part requirements, as applicable. Handle precision components carefully to prevent scratches, dents, or other damage. Maintain accurate production and job documentation. Identify and communicate quality concerns, discrepancies, or potential nonconforming product to the appropriate team member. Consistently perform work in accordance with established quality and productivity expectations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow M&M's quality procedures, safety requirements, and established work instructions. Assist with other secondary operations or production activities as needed. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in deburring, finishing, or a similar role within a precision machining or manufacturing environment required. Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and manufacturing drawings required. Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and/or other inspection equipment. Working knowledge of common deburring and finishing techniques, tools, and equipment. Strong attention to detail and demonstrated commitment to quality. Ability to identify burrs, sharp edges, surface imperfections, and other conditions that may affect part quality. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to work with small, detailed, and precision-machined components. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently from established documentation. Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability and willingness to learn M&M-specific processes, customer requirements, and quality standards. Compensation & Benefits Pay:
