Smurfit WestRock seeks a Rotary Die Cut Assistant Operator to support high-speed corrugated packaging production in a safety-first, performance-driven plant. In this role, you'll assist the lead operator with machine setup, roll changes, board alignment, quality checks, and basic troubleshooting to meet production schedules. You will monitor equipment, remove finished product, complete production and quality documentation, and follow 5S and housekeeping standards. Success in this role requires attention to detail, ability to read production specifications, teamwork, and commitment to continuous improvement and sustainability goals. Responsibilities Assist rotary die cutter setup, operation, and changeovers Load materials and remove finished corrugated product safely Perform in-process quality checks against specifications Monitor equipment performance and report issues Maintain accurate production and quality records Follow lockout/tagout, PPE, and all plant safety procedures Support 5 S, housekeeping, and waste reduction initiatives Work closely with lead operator and maintenance teams Read and interpret job tickets and production schedules Participate in training and continuous improvement activities Required Skills Rotary die cutting machine operation support Corrugated packaging or converting processes Mechanical troubleshooting basics Lockout/Tagout and plant safety practices Quality inspection and measurement tools Reading job tickets and production specs Material handling and palletizing5 S and basic lean manufacturing Basic computer and production data entry Teamwork in high-speed manufacturing
