Middleburg Heights, OH Job Details Full-time $20 - $27 an hour 19 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Press operation Packing English Forklift Materials handling Full Job Description Cleveland Die and Manufacturing Co. is looking for experienced and reliable Press Operator to operate Transfer type metal stamping press in a safe and efficient manner according to CDM's quality policy and procedures in order to produce finished goods that meet internal and external quality standards.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• 1. Assist Die Setter(s) as needed. 2. Verify that all required gages are present and compliant prior to running a production job. 3. Verify that the QF-36 Production Run Log is signed off by the Die Setter and Press Room Manager before beginning a job. 4. Obtain the appropriate label(s) from Production Control, and place on parts container and verify label for accuracy. 5. Conduct required dimensional checks via the QF-30 In Process Inspection using the appropriate mics, calipers or gages. 6. Remove scrap from the press as necessary. 7. Properly package processed parts according to the Job Traveler instructions. 8. Initial label on container and job traveler on each parts container once full. 9. Notify the Material Handler to pick up material to be weighed. 10. Verify the condition of the die at the conclusion of each run. 11. Safe operation of forklift vehicles. 12. Perform general housekeeping duties, including keeping press area clean and orderly. 13. Comply with CDM's PPE guidelines including utilizing gloves, safety glasses and hearing protection as required.

Qualifications:

Ability to read and speak English. Knowledge and ability to operate a Transfer type mechanical power press. Ability to read/use micrometers and calipers. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment. Ability to stand for prolonged time, bend and stretch frequently during 8 hours work shifts.
