You'll be responsible for delivering hazardous and specialized freight using tanker trucks and flatbeds. Your expertise will help us maintain compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations while providing reliable delivery services. Duties Safely operate HazMat tankers and flatbeds following all FMCSA and DOT regulations. Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques and proper cargo securing methods for hazardous and non-hazardous goods. Navigate routes accurately using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) routes and local deliveries. Transport dangerous goods and hazardous materials in compliance with hazardous materials regulations, ensuring safety at all times. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure compliance with safety standards; report any mechanical issues promptly. Assist with dock operations by verifying inbound/outbound shipments, managing freight movement, and supporting truck loading/unloading processes. Follow all safety protocols during manual handling, cargo securing, and truck loading/unloading to prevent accidents or spills. Mixing different chemical blends for our customers. Interacting with customers Skills Proven experience operating commercial trucks including flatbeds ortankers. Strong knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and safe handling procedures for dangerous goods. Skilled in manual handling techniques for cargo loading/unloading and securing freight safely. Familiarity with flatbeds or tanker trucks. Ability to navigate using GPS systems efficiently on over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for HazMat and tanker operations; manual transmission experience preferred. Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations along with DOT (Department of Transportation) standards for commercial driving. Experience in delivery driving within logistics environments involving freight movement across diverse route types. Excellent safety awareness with a focus on hazard prevention when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials.
