General Duties

The mold denicker removes nicks, performs repairs, and polishes molds by hand

Specific Duties The mold denicker performs these activities:

• Polishes cavities, vents and gates on molds by hand
• Performs repairs by hand on molds, such as de-nicking cavities, sanding lands, repairing mold cases, removing tool marks, etc.
• Details new molds and prepares them for release to production
• Operates pedestal grinder to sharpen polishing stones
• Analyzes mold problem(s)
• Follows safety rules Education Required Minimum education: 12th grade or equivalent Must read, write and speak English. Physical Requirements Ability to sit up to 10 hours
• Ability to work with hands under work light Other Requirements
