In this role, you will be responsible for disassembling, cleaning, testing, and restoring electronic devices (TVs, computers, gaming consoles, appliances, and home audio systems) that have been damaged by smoke, soot, and water following residential and commercial fires. If you enjoy working with electronics, possess strong problem-solving skills, and take pride in helping homeowners recover their valued possessions, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities Disassembly & Inspection:
Carefully disassemble smoke- and soot-damaged electronic devices to assess internal contamination levels and document damage.
Cleaning & Restoration:
Perform specialized cleaning processes using ultrasonic equipment, hand tools, compressed air, and specialized solvents to remove soot, smoke residue, and corrosion from sensitive circuit boards and components.
Deodorization:
Operate ozone chambers, hydroxyl generators, and specialized drying equipment to eliminate smoke odors from electronic housings and internals.
Testing & Reassembly:
Reassemble cleaned electronics, perform functionality and safety testing, and log results into our restoration tracking software.
Inventory & Packing:
Safely package, label, and box restored electronics for secure storage or delivery back to the client.
Requirements & Qualifications Technical Aptitude:
Experience with basic electronics assembly/disassembly, computer repair, or small appliance repair is highly preferred.
Detail-Oriented:
Ability to track small components, follow intricate disassembly steps, and maintain high accuracy during inventory control. Comfort with

Willingness to work with soot-covered items and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE provided, including respirators, gloves, and eye protection).
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (e.g., large televisions, computers, microwave units) and stand for extended periods.
Reliability:
Strong work ethic, attention to safety protocols, and a clear background check.
