Job Description

Dynomax Inc., a precision manufacturing leader in aerospace, defense, and industrial markets, is seeking a Mold Assembly Technician. In this role, you will assemble, fit, and align precision injection molds and tooling to exact specifications, using blueprints, work instructions, and precision measuring tools. You'll collaborate with machining and engineering teams, support mold trials and maintenance, and uphold strict quality and safety standards in a clean, high-tech, family-owned environment that emphasizes training, teamwork, and long-term growth. Responsibilities Assemble, fit, and align mold components and tooling to precise specifications Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances Perform basic troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments on molds and tooling Collaborate with machining, molding, and engineering teams on mold improvements Follow safety, quality, and 5 S/lean manufacturing practices Document work performed and maintain accurate assembly records Support setup, trials, and maintenance of molds for production runs Required Skills Mold assembly and disassembly Reading blueprints and technical drawings Use of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators) Basic toolroom and hand tool skills Mechanical troubleshooting Understanding of injection molding and tooling concepts Quality inspection and documentation Use of torque tools and alignment methods Familiarity with lean/5 S practices Basic computer skills for recording work and quality data
