This is a hands-on restoration position focused mainly on fire and smoke cleaning, contents restoration, pack-outs, pack-backs, and detailed cleaning of homes and businesses after property damage. You do not need restoration experience. We will train the right person. What we need is someone who is dependable, works hard, pays attention to detail, and is willing to help wherever the team needs them. This is not a basic housekeeping job, and it is not a desk job. Our technicians work inside homes and businesses after fires, water losses, storms, construction, and other property damage. Every day is a little different. What You'll DoFire & Smoke Cleaning Clean walls, ceilings, floors, trim, cabinets, doors, fixtures, and other structural surfaces Remove soot, smoke residue, dust, and debris HEPA vacuum and detail-clean fire-damaged areas Clean exposed framing and building materials when required Assist with odor removal and deodorization Set up containment and air filtration equipment when needed Use professional restoration cleaning products and equipment Perform detailed cleaning after fire and smoke losses Contents Restoration Clean furniture, household goods, decorations, dishes, electronics, and other personal property Photograph and document customer belongings Inventory and track contents using a phone or tablet Separate salvageable and non-salvageable items Perform detailed hand cleaning and specialty contents cleaning Assist with smoke and odor removal from customer belongings Organize cleaned contents in our warehouse and storage areas Pack-Outs & Pack-Backs Carefully pack customer belongings Wrap furniture and fragile items Label, photograph, and inventory boxes and contents Load and unload company trucks Move furniture, boxes, and household goods Assist with furniture disassembly and reassembly Remove contents from damaged homes and businesses Return and unpack belongings once restoration work is complete General Restoration Cleaning Perform final cleaning after construction and restoration work Vacuum, wipe down, mop, and detail-clean completed projects Remove construction dust and debris Clean cabinets, countertops, fixtures, floors, windows, and other surfaces Help get homes and businesses ready for customers to move back into Occasional Water Mitigation Assistance This position is primarily focused on fire cleaning, contents, and general restoration cleaning , but we work as a team. From time to time, you may help our water mitigation crews with: Moving furniture and contents Carrying and setting up drying equipment Removing wet or damaged materials Cleaning and organizing job sites Loading and unloading equipment Assisting technicians on larger water losses You will be trained before being expected to perform restoration tasks you have not done before. What This Job Is Really Like One day you may be cleaning soot from the walls of a fire-damaged home. The next day you may be packing an entire household into boxes. Another day you could be cleaning furniture and personal belongings, doing a final construction clean, organizing our warehouse, returning contents to a customer, or helping another crew on a large water loss.

Some days are physical. Some jobs require patience and a lot of attention to detail. Who We're Looking For The right person: Shows up on time Is dependable Works hard Pays attention to detail Takes pride in doing things correctly Can follow directions Works well with a team Can stay productive without constant supervision Is comfortable working in damaged or dirty environments Is comfortable using a smartphone or tablet Can take clear job-site photos and document work accurately Treats customers and their property with respect Is willing to learn new skills Can stay organized Is willing to help other departments when needed Does not stand around waiting to be told what to do every five minutes Previous experience in restoration, residential cleaning, commercial cleaning, housekeeping, moving, construction cleaning, warehouse work, furniture delivery, or similar hands-on work is helpful, but it is not required. We would rather train someone dependable with a strong work ethic than hire someone with experience who cannot be counted on. Physical Requirements This is an active position.
You must be able to:
Stand and walk for extended periods Bend, kneel, reach, and work in different positions Regularly lift and carry boxes, equipment, and household contents Help move furniture and larger items Perform physical work throughout the day Safely use ladders when required Work in varying temperatures and job-site conditions Wear respirators and other personal protective equipment when required Essential job functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
