Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Crawlspace Technician to join our dynamic restoration team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, cleaning, and restoring crawlspaces affected by water damage, mold, fire, or flood-related incidents. Your expertise will help clients regain safe, healthy living environments while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry standards. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of crawlspaces to identify issues such as water intrusion, mold growth, fire damage, or asbestos presence. Perform cleaning and remediation tasks including mold remediation, asbestos abatement, and debris removal using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to remove damaged materials and prepare spaces for restoration. Operate company vehicles safely to transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites while adhering to all safety protocols. Execute flood restoration, water damage restoration, and fire restoration procedures efficiently to restore properties to their pre-loss condition. Apply Xactimate software for accurate damage assessment and documentation of repairs needed. Support emergency response efforts by providing on-call coverage for urgent situations requiring immediate attention. Follow strict safety protocols during all phases of work to ensure personal safety and compliance with industry standards. Assist with carpet cleaning and general cleaning tasks within crawlspaces as part of the overall restoration process. Communicate effectively with clients to explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project. Qualifications Prior experience in the restoration industry or construction is highly preferred; familiarity with water damage, flood recovery, mold remediation, or fire restoration is a plus. Strong knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use and respiratory protection measures. Ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly. Experience with hand tools, power tools, Xactimate software, and general construction techniques. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward client interactions. Willingness to respond promptly during on-call situations for emergency response coverage. Ability to work in confined spaces such as crawlspaces while maintaining physical stamina for extended periods. Knowledge of asbestos abatement procedures and mold remediation practices is advantageous but not mandatory.
