On-Site Pay:
$80,000-$100,000 per year + Bonus & Monthly Jewelry Spiffs About Laura Pearce Ltd. Founded in Atlanta in 1989, Laura Pearce Ltd. (LPL) is a highly regarded independent jewelry retailer known for exceptional design, craftsmanship, personal service, and lasting client relationships. LPL offers designer and private-label jewelry, a proprietary collection, and a distinctive custom-design practice. Our founder-led, collaborative environment combines the standards of a premier jeweler with the personalized experience of an independent business. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced jewelry professional to help lead and grow our custom jewelry design business. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with Laura Pearce, Founder , in an immersive, hands-on environment. You will learn LPL's design standards, client approach, and quality expectations with the opportunity to develop into leadership of the custom-design function. What You'll Do Guide clients through the entire custom-design process, from initial concept to completed piece. Work with clients to redesign heirlooms, diamonds, gemstones, and existing jewelry. Listen to client needs and translate their ideas into clear design concepts, sketches, layouts, and presentations. Coordinate closely with bench jewelers, CAD designers, stone suppliers, mounting suppliers, and manufacturing partners. Source diamonds, gemstones, mountings, and components that meet LPL's standards for quality, value, and craftsmanship. Manage estimates, approvals, revisions, production timelines, deliveries, and client follow-up. Maintain detailed custom-project records, including specifications, photographs, pricing, sketches, status, and communications. Review bench-jeweler sketches, CAD concepts, and AI-assisted renderings before presenting designs to clients. Handle valuable jewelry, loose stones, and irreplaceable heirlooms with exceptional care and discretion. Manage multiple high-value custom projects while maintaining outstanding organization and follow-through. What We're Looking For Meaningful professional experience in fine jewelry . Custom design, bridal, gemstone, or luxury-client experience strongly preferred. GIA Graduate Gemologist (GG) preferred, or comparable gemological knowledge and industry experience. Strong understanding of jewelry, gemstones, design, and craftsmanship. Refined taste with creativity and strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to understand client preferences and earn trust. Strong organization and project-management skills. Sound judgment, discretion, and accountability. Comfortable learning and using technology and business systems. Experience with Airtable, CAD/design workflows, or jewelry software is a plus but can be learned. Compensation & Benefits $80,000-$100,000 annual salary Additional bonus based on performance and sales Monthly jewelry/product spiffs when sales goals are met Spiffs typically range from $200-$800 per month 2 weeks paid vacation Christmas through New Year's off Hands-on mentorship directly with the founder Opportunity to grow into leadership of the custom-design function Why Join Laura Pearce Ltd.?
