We specialize in custom engagement rings, bridal jewelry, fine jewelry, and jewelry redesigns. Custom design is a major part of what we do. We work directly with our customers to take an idea, inspiration, or sentimental piece of jewelry and turn it into something made specifically for them. Much of our custom process is handled in-house, allowing our team to work closely together from the initial concept and CAD design through production and the finished piece. As we continue to grow our custom jewelry and bridal business, we are looking for a talented and motivated Jewelry CAD Designer to join our team full-time at our Farmington Hills location. About the Position We are looking for a creative, dependable, and detail-oriented Jewelry CAD Designer who has a genuine passion for jewelry design. You will work closely with our sales team, senior jewelers, and ownership to create CAD models for custom engagement rings, wedding bands, fine jewelry, redesign projects, and other custom pieces. This is an in-house position, not a remote design role. We want our CAD designer to be part of the entire custom jewelry process and learn how designs move from an idea on a computer to a finished piece of fine jewelry. The right person will bring experience to the position while still being open to learning, receptive to constructive criticism, and willing to learn from senior members of our team who have decades of hands-on jewelry experience. We want someone who takes pride in their work, wants to continue improving their craft, and is excited about becoming an important part of our custom jewelry department. Responsibilities Create accurate, production-ready CAD models for custom engagement rings, wedding bands, and fine jewelry Create renderings and make design revisions based on customer and team feedback Work closely with our jewelers and sales team throughout the custom design process Ensure designs are structurally sound and practical for manufacturing Prepare and organize CAD files for 3D printing, casting, and production Manage multiple custom projects while maintaining quality, accuracy, and deadlines What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Reliable and dependable Creative with a strong eye for proportion and detail Passionate about jewelry and design Driven and motivated to improve Productive and able to manage multiple projects Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable receiving constructive feedback and making revisions Open-minded and willing to learn from experienced members of our team Able to work independently while also being a team player Patient and willing to work through multiple versions of a design when necessary Proud of the quality of work they produce Interested in building a long-term career in jewelry design Experience & Skills Minimum 3 years of professional jewelry CAD design experience required Experience with jewelry-focused CAD software such as MatrixGold, Rhino, Matrix, or similar programs Strong understanding of jewelry construction, proportions, and manufacturing Experience designing engagement rings and bridal jewelry is a major plus Knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, and stone setting is preferred Ability to create technically accurate, production-ready CAD models Strong computer, organizational, and time-management skills Jewelry manufacturing or bench experience is a plus, but not required Formal education or GIA credentials are not required . Compensation & Schedule Starting pay: $22+/hour Compensation will depend on your previous experience, CAD skill level, productivity, quality of work, and overall performance. This is a full-time, in-person position at our Farmington Hills, Michigan location.
